The WIAP revisited:

A recap of the past few years of WIAP:

In January 2015, the Women Ice Angler Project had it’s first trip to Lake of the Woods, MN.  Started as a one time media event to create positive images of women in ice fishing, the Women Ice Angler Project has continued as a way to showcase women anglers doing what they do best on the ice. You can see our latest news on our Facebook page:  Women on Ice.

We were excited to return to Lake of the Woods in 2016 for our 2nd annual media event, and Mille Lacs for 2017.  Every year brings a core group of anglers along with special guests.  The core group of professional anglers includes Barb Carey, Shelly Holland, Bonnie Timm, Shantel Wittstruck, & Rikki Pardun, long time ice angling instructor Holly Hanson, writer Kristine Houtman, and outdoor enthusiast, writer, & photographer Hannah Stonehouse Hudson. The project has created incredible stories of women on the ice every year – and you can read more about each of these team members here.

We’d like to thank our sponsors who have made these trips possible – and we are excited to announce our next location.
